Do you know what an OLED is really? I know you’ve read about them here, and they’re constantly in the news. OLEDs – or Organic Light Emitting Diodes – are LEDs in which the light emitting layer is made of some kind of organic compound. This layer contains a type of polymer that allows these organic compounds to be deposited onto it, hence making an OLED.
One of the blogs I read, OLED-info.com, just had a post about the Discovery Channel video on OLEDs – I think it does a great thing to explain OLEDs, and talks about why they’re more “green” than current LED technology. Check it out!
